A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE

In November 2012 me and my friend Livia made a trip to L.A. because my first short "HOW TO CARRY A PACKAGE" was nominated at the International Student Film Festival in Hollywood, in the category "best foreign language drama"

It was a wonderful, adventurous and, of course, glamorous time! We've made a lot of things, went to LAKMA to see the Kubrick exhibition, the Farmers Market (kinda like  "Naschmarkt" in Vienna) went of course to Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, Malibu Beach, all the touristic stuff we wanted to do and more.  And to mention that all by bus or underground!!

It is possible to do that, but you have to have time to take the bus, because those busses come and go as they like and feel about. Every citizen of L.A. asked us if we are tired of life to do that, but as I mentioned, it was very funny and adventurouse. We met a lot of interesting but also very creepy people in buses. But our Highlights have been the different Studios, Universal, Warner Brothers, Paramount etc.

Now we both understood why people are talking about the American Dream, its so unbelievable gorgeouse!! My favorite one was Warner Brothers Studio, haha, had to think all the time about the animaniacs if you still know them! (for those who have no clue what I'm talking about, google them, please!) No, but seriously guys, I loved Warner Brothers Studio, it was more like an exhibition through a big studio where all the famouse people are living half of their life! I was so excited, because so many movies were made there! And last but not least, I saw Keegan Allen!! He's playing the role of Toby Cavanaugh in the TV-Show "Pretty little liars", I'm addicted to. He was standing outside, holding a camera in his hand and talking to someone about one shoot.

After that we met a very handsome guy, Michael Van Dyke, he is an actor and was working in films like "pirates of the Carrebbiean! and "Argo", just to mention two. He took us to a sushi restaurant "Katsuya" on the Hollywood Boulevard. Omg... the most deliciouse sushi I've ever had!!!

But that wasn't enough for us, of course we had to go shopping, too! You can't make a trip to America without going shopping!! So we went down the whole Boulevards, but the only shops we visited were the "Urban Outfitters", "Victorias Secret", "MAC-Cosmetics", "Banana Republic" and of course the Hard Rock, were I bought one sweater! But mostly we went to second hand shops in Studio City, were we lived, or to the big flea market at Melrose. And of course we bought some glasses at Chillibeans and one polaroid camera at Sammys, near the Farmers Market, which makes wonderful pictures!

But besides sightseeing, shopping and preparing for festival the most beautiful thing was to see a longterm friend of our family! Maja, her husband Will and her two lovley, gorgeous kids!! I miss them so much!! Thank you for everything!!

But enough words said, here is one Video for you! Have fun and don't forget, a day without laugher is a day wasted!
